Two months ago Dunkin Donuts launched the Create Dunkin’s Next Donut contest to get fans to submit their own ideas for the brand’s next new flavoured donut.
Largely as a result of a successful social media plan, which included leveraging Dunkin Donuts’ twitter account which has more than 50,000 followers, over 90,000 people participated in the initial round. Finalists were selected based on their use of ingredients, donut name and donut story. Each will take home $1,200, a year’s supply of donuts and get to compete in a ‘bake-off’ at Dunkin’ Donuts headquarters in Massachusetts.
You can see the 12 selected donuts and vote for your favorite donut at https://www.dunkindonuts.com/donut/ before May 3th.
